The creative team, staff, and my fellow cast mates were not only extremely talented, but also kind and generous human beings. This is a great place to work! It is still a small theater and a fairly short (three weeks) contract. The new artistic director does a really good job and creates a very collaborative work environment. Overall this was a great experience!

Let me preface this by saying they just got a new Artistic Director after decades, so things could be different now. For the most part, I enjoyed my time there. Naples is a lovely little village where you can walk everywhere, and it's gorgeous countryside. BVT hires some incredibly talented people and puts on some really artistically fulfilling shows. You get housed in homestays, which is always a crapshoot, the pay is meh (400 a week I think is the new average), and contracts are short (3 weeks total). The theatre is small, and audiences were smaller (summer of 2022), but if you get a good cast, it's a great time. (edited)
