As others have mentioned, the biggest downside is pay. The artistic director does not negotiate at all. However, the show schedule is very light. Monday and Tuesday off, hardly any two show days. Hilton Head is beautiful and we had a lot of fun living there for 2 months! Stunning housing right near the beach. I think it varies show to show based on what I've seen, but our costumes were really not up to par. No wigs for the ladies, the ensemble was wearing a lot of stuff ordered from amazon. Sound was an issue (lots of feedback for some reason). Overall, the production quality wasn't too bad, and audiences loved our show! I'd go back if they start paying their actors more!

Absolutely loved working here. The location is amazing, and you are always a block away from the beach. Each house of actors was granted a company car, and had unlimited access to restore, which is a health and wellness spa. The pay is very low, and the artistic director won't bump up the pay. However, for the location and amenities it was worth it. Overall I loved my experience there and would definitely return again.

Had a really great time at Arts Center! Felt very taken care of— the pay could’ve been higher, but housing is nice + there’s lots to do on the island. NU performers are required to attend pre-show warmups when shows require dancing but we had a great dance capt + I enjoyed going!

The whole experience was a pretty good one. The pay is the only thing that would be nice to see higher, the cost of things on the island can get very high. But all and all its a good contract and amazing production value.

Had a great time here, and the housing is BEAUTIFUL
