I don’t know what the reviews below are referring to but my time there (have worked there twice) were without any drama or issue. The housing is STELLAR, the theatre is old, yes-but wonderfully charming, and their production values are out of this world. The only downside is the car situation. If you don’t have your own it sucks. There are like 1-2 cars to share between all casts. Close to the city with 2 days off a week. Can’t beat it.

I’m hopeful things will improve. I heard through the grapevine a certain extremely unprofessional/problematic staffer is no longer here.

I hope the recent changes in the creative team department will usher in a more positive direction.

Listen to Stage Combat the podcast and it will tell you all you need to know. The producer who was involved in the harmful practices detailed in the podcast now helms the theatre as the artistic director. It appears the stage manager and general manager in the podcast are no longer there. This organization has never acknowledged the harm that was done. God forbid you tell someone you don’t feel safe while working there. I know this first hand. The podcast shows what these people are capable of if you do. (edited)

The company over all is charming but they need to update their space. The building is old and falling apart. The grid is a old wooden beam grid that isn't the most stable. I have witnessed people complaining of the wall shifting as we were installing a show (The theater is on the top floor of the building). They also load in their sets through an old elevator shaft. I had a severe allergy that they did not respect during my time there and decorated the theater and surrounding buildings any ways.

Beautiful area, beautiful housing. They treat their actors extremely well. I felt very taken care of here! A wonderful Equity theater and I would recommend anyone who gets the chance to work here.
