Echoing everything already said, plus AD was very patronizing, especially towards women, often mansplaining simple tasks that didn’t require any help. Unfair and often illegal pay practices (rolling OT hours worked to the following week so he didn’t have to pay OT), while simultaneously telling audiences his company offers livable wages to their employees to try to get them to donate more money. Not worth the time, stress, and potential health risks! (edited)

Crew is treated TERRIBLY. Artistic director consistently put both actors and crew at risk. Multiple times he refused to cancel shows when we were above the heat threshold (we’re talking like 95 degrees) or when there was a clear probability of rain. The only reason for two stars is because they hired an angel of an SM and ASM who worked hard to keep the crew feeling safe, and the actors were lovely. But SM/PA team was disrespected time and time again by the artistic director. For what the pay is, the gig is not worth it.

Run. No seriously. This company takes advantage of every system, doesn’t respect his teams, forces unsafe working environments, and is passive aggressive. Racism in the rehearsal space, questioning integrity of crew, and a lot of old way thinking. Working with them in the summer in the park is brutal due to the circumstances. The bathrooms were over 15 minute walks away, and breaks were only 10-20 minutes long in order to make it there and back. Constantly not sticking to a schedule and constantly shortening meal times. Forced to work during awful weather conditions (above agreed heat temp & rain storms). Then on top of it all, not receiving the correct pay and having to threaten strikes in order to get the correct pay. Only plus side is that most of the actors and crew they hire are lovely human beings are care for one another.
