Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival
- Performer, within last year
One of the best experiences I've ever had as a performer. AEA housing is in the grad student apartments, which are basic but comfortable; they're massive and have four bedrooms (five beds, but one is a shared room that they do not put a second person into). Housing is a five min walk from the theater. Center Valley is *beautiful* in the summer. Campus is very quiet. Access is given to a very nice gym in the student union building, also about a 5 min walk. Excellent production value, leadership cares about the full experience, pay is decent for the size of the company. Audiences are on the older side but they're attentive and happy to engage with new work when it's presented to them. A car is definitely recommended if you want to get off campus--there is no public transportation. Free parking is provided for those with cars and PSF provides a company car that you can reserve for a few hours at a time. If you get a chance to work here, DO IT!

Very good experience overall. Convient little campus environment and decent pay. Everyone was kind and wanted to help make productions safe and successful. Very small full-year team plus a full seasonal staff. Minimal drama, and any issues that did happen were seemingly dealt with and taken seriously. A lot of actors come back each summer.
