Upside: This was a stellar artistic experience and one of my favorite shows in years. The small team genuinely cares and devotes themselves to production quality, and actors are treated very well. Shared, no frills housing within walking distance from the theatre which is located in a small but vibrant strip of restaurants and bars nestled in a beautiful region of the Catskills. Proximity to NYC means they often get great talent, and you can go back and forth to the city once the show opens. If you’re in it for the love of the game, this is a great place to work. Downside: the pay is suboptimal, shared housing is always a bit fraught, and for some reason they always cast projects at the last minute out of habit or necessity, so I had to scramble to rearrange my life in order to do the contract. Nevertheless, I enthusiastically recommend the experience!

Loved working here!! It is a small team running the theater and that does bring some issues with responsiveness, but overall a wonderful place to work. The administrative and creative teams are full of the nicest people, the community is SO welcoming and sweet, and the audiences are so receptive! The housing is extremely convenient, and while not fancy, they're very accommodating to any needs that you might have. Would work here again right away!!

What a great place to work! The production team is professional and caring. Pay is not fantastic, but the community treats their actors like absolute gold. I was so proud of the work we did here. And there are so many opportunities to hike and enjoy nature. Would work here again in a heartbeat!
