Slow Burn Theatre Company

After two contracts I would work here again in a second. The housing was great, the people were great, and the care they give to their performers was top notch. Also, is located in a super fun area in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

I have done two shows there, and everyone is incredible! Patrick and Matthew are amazing to work with, and the rehearsal space is excellent. Patrick always makes sure everyone is comfortable with what they are doing. 10/10 definetely reccomend.

Just did my first contract with them and WOW do they have it all together! First day, almost every moveable set piece was ready to go, the production team was on time, and professional every single day. The housing was beautiful and they even made sure we had essentials in the house like paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent in bulk so we didn't have to worry or ask for more. The cast was phenomenal, Patrick, the artistic director/director was incredible. He is so kind and giving with his creativity and time. I cannot wait to work here again.

did one show there, but know many folks who have worked with them; quality and reputation of shows are stellar; one of the artistic producers often inserts themselves in at least two shows of the season as a lead or supporting character; sometimes other main director can be a bit inappropriate with shouting/temper; like any theatre in florida, they expect you to be able to drive long distances in horrendous traffic and survive on basically less than $400 a week as nonunion with mommy/daddy/partner supporting you (that's a general rule of thumb for all south florida theatre: lots of reuse of the same people because of that and it's a hard nut to crack if you aren't one of the popular kids who have been there for the last decade)
