DO NOT WORK I am shocked this theater is still allowed to have equity contracts with the number of complaints filled against it. This experience was unsafe, manipulative, unprofessional, and miserable for all performers. No preparation, illegal cuts to scripts and score, no leadership. No accountability. Absolutely miserable experience as someone who is typically emphatically positive.

This theatre was unprofessional in every way. Unprepared, inefficient, incompetent, it is almost difficult to convey in words. It was really the worst experience I have ever had. Time is not respected and is simply wasted, due to a lack of leadership or ability to effectively problem solve or even simply work in a normal way. The pay is better than other local places, so it attracts talented cast, interns and crew who would like to sleep in their own beds for the summer, but their lack of preparation or any kind of plan sets everyone up to fail. On top of that, egos (of leadership) seem to get in the way and, as a result, kindness is not really on the forefront. I would never, ever recommend that someone work there. This was the most disheartening experience of my professional career. The creative team/management (its a family affair) had a level of incompetence I was unprepared for. No preparation for blocking or spacing, no planning of the scene work, characters, or technical elements. They treat the interns terribly. They make them work so hard for so little pay…and then barely put them in the show. If you’re committing from NYC, it’s a brutal 2+ hour trip both ways. And they’ll schedule rehearsals so you arrive an hour early and leave an hour after. There’s no care or consideration for the actors, the interns, or the designers. If someone I cared at all about came to me asking if they should work here I would emphatically answer no.

I haven’t performed here in a long time. That being said when I was there facilities were trash. The rehearsal space is a hot mess.
