Mountain Theatre Company
- Performer, within last year
the best of the best for non-union theater. I would highly recommend working here should you get the chance! the town, facilities, housing, costumes and wigs are all 10/10. the team is professional and kind, you get your breaks and your pay on time, and they truly care about doing great theater. I felt both safe and championed working here, and the rest of my cast was extremely talented! can't ask for anything more!

Mountain theatre company is run by true professionals who really understand how to treat young performers as adults. This sounds like it should be a given but you’d be shocked. It’s truly a beautiful place to work and grow as a performer. The Artistic Director knows what he’s doing. Sure there could be more diversity and representation… but the community is made up of a bunch of old white people… A six show work week is incredible! And the mountains are a beautiful place to spend any time of year. There’s trails to hike, rivers to swim in, beauty all around. There’s access to a rec center by the theatre. Each performer gets their own room and at most 2 people share a bathroom. The one downside of the housing is that it’s usually down the mountain about 20-40 minutes from the theatre and you change altitudes daily (which can have a toll on health if you don’t take care of yourself). The town is a bit expensive since everyone there is dripping in coin… but if you shop for food and other amenities in the towns down the mountain (near housing) then it’s not too shabby. High quality theatre, a wonderful staff, cute hallmark movie town, plus some really good times at the local dive bar… it’s a wonderful place to work!
