Love the producer/director, Chris, and the charm of Cripple Creek. Really my only issue was that there were some problem people within the cast. Including one that many of us believed should have been fired because it was causing the show and housing to feel unsafe sometimes. I felt it hurt the integrity of the company a little bit to keep that person when they had been out of line so much. BUT, it was still an enjoyable and professional time setting the problem people aside. The housing is all singles and was walkable to the theatre. The producer also made accommodations for getting groceries since very few cast members had a car.

This was a really lovely contract! The housing was really nice. They put actors in several different houses around town. Some were nicer than others, but they were all great spaces and you always had your own room. The town and surrounding area was absolutely gorgeous and there are a lot of amazing spots to hike! It's a smaller theater, so the production quality isn't super flashy, but I really enjoyed working with Chris, the director, and had so much fun with the show we put together. The show schedule was really nice since we only did 6 shows a week which gave us both Monday and Tuesday off. The pay was $325 a week which isn't bad for a non-union house, but you certainly won't be saving any money on this contract without subletting your apartment out, haha. The only real gripe I had was, even though the town was super charming, it is incredibly small and doesn't have a proper grocery store with the closest one being about a 30 - 40 min drive away.
